Course Introduction

Successful product shoots are not as simple as bouncing a flash off the ceiling. Come learn the various tips and tricks used by commercial photographer to achieve desired results. What took Albert years to achieve through actual shoot for adverts and editorial, he will impart his trade secrets to you during the course.

This studio photography course will be in 2 sessions theory with demos and 1 session of purely hand-on still life product photography by participants.

Theory Session

  • Space Management for Effective Studio Setting
  • Studio Light Equipment and Modifiers Explained
  • Measuring Light with Studio Light Meter
  • Light Ratio Settings for Shooting High Key & Low Key Images
  • Product Shoot Demonstration

Theory Session II

  • Usage of Light Tent for Product Photography
  • Basic Lighting for Light Tent Photography
  • Shooting of Small and Reflective Objects
  • Basic Tools and DIY Light Modifiers
  • Shooting demonstration


  • Hands on shooting of products by participants
  • Participants to bring their own items for photoshoot
  • Critique Session and Q & A
